About Light the Way

Who We Are

For 10 years, Light the Way Ministry has been creating premier Christian music experiences that draw tens of thousands of young people into authentic encounters with Jesus. We’re not a church service with a stage – we’re building legitimate festival and concert environments where the Holy Spirit moves, and lives are transformed.

We host two annual festivals: Light the Way Festival, a two-day weekend in Ozark, Missouri, featuring massive worship and chart-topping Christian artists, and Freedom Faith Fest, a free Independence Day celebration in Olive Branch, Mississippi, complete with inflatables, food trucks, live music, and fireworks. Throughout the year, we also bring powerful concert events to communities across the area.

About Our Founder

John A. Wilson, Jr. is the founder and CEO of Light the Way Ministry. His journey to ministry leadership started in an unexpected place – promoting country music in bars and nightclubs. But when John gave his life to Jesus, God gave him a vision: use his gift for promoting to take the church outside the walls. That calling became Light the Way Ministry, and through festivals, concerts, and events, the gospel has now been shared with more than 100,000 people.
